Zak Winnick is the Founder and CEO of Rangeway Energy, building America's first premium charging network for scenic corridors, and host of the Trail Marker Podcast.
He brings over 15 years of experience across IT operations, hospitality, and electric vehicle infrastructure. As the founder of AmpIQ and now CEO of Rangeway Energy, Zak has developed deep expertise in charging strategy, business planning, and site implementation. His unique background bridges technical infrastructure with hospitality, creating charging solutions that prioritize both performance and experience.
As Community Director of the Bay Area Rivian Club and Technical Advisor for Rivian Clubs of America, Zak maintains direct insight into the evolving needs of EV drivers and the realities of charging infrastructure. He co-founded NorCal EVs, a multi-brand enthusiast community bringing together owners from Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and other platforms across Northern California—giving him ground-level perspective on charging pain points and driver expectations.
Zak's professional experience includes IT leadership roles at Curai Health, Octane, and multiple hospitality companies, where he architected enterprise systems, managed security frameworks, and optimized operations. This systems-thinking approach, combined with his passion for electric mobility, drives Rangeway's mission to transform EV charging from a logistics burden into an integral, enjoyable part of the journey.
His vision for the hub-satellite network model emerged from recognizing how hospitality operations achieve excellence through centralized expertise deployed across multiple locations.
